The Federalist Society is looking for Freelance Motion Graphic Video Editors to collaborate with us on making awesome explainer videos on legal topics. We’re looking for talented video editors who can also create simple & beautiful motion graphics that illustrate the content. Three examples of what we're looking for include:



We provide:

  • A script complete with timestamps from an interview with a legal expert
  • Suggestions for motion graphic sequences and other b-roll based on the content
  • Consultation throughout the project and detailed feedback at every stage of the project.
  • Access to/and/or budget for stock footage & music

We expect you to:

  • Cut the script we’ve provided into an initial radio cut
  • Be able to perform basic color correction
  • Develop original creative assets for the video based on the subject area
  • Design a stunning and engaging opening 10 seconds of the video
  • Work with our established brand to create slides and other visual effects with a contemporary aesthetic
  • Run time of each project is approx. 3:00 with 70%+ gfx/b-roll/etc coverage of the speaker.
  • Deliver the final video and three to five high-res stills via DropBox
  • Strong preference for editors who use Adobe Creative Suite
  • Be comfortable working on Conservative/Libertarian topics
