Junior Motion Designer / Animator (Full-Time)

Phoenix Media Group (phoenix.agency) is reviewing candidates for a full-time Jr. Motion Designer / Animator position to join our team at our Post facility in Dumbo, NY. The position will be primarily in-office due to the NDA relationships we have with our clients, but in a number of cases will amount to a 3 day in-office / 2 day WFH arrangement.

Our ideal candidate is strong with After Effects and Photoshop and familiar, if not proficient, with Cinema 4D. Being able to draw/storyboard, develop designs or an interest in typography are all useful characteristics that may be required depending on the needs of the job. We heavily integrate motion design into our edits and you will be working closely with our editing team.

Candidates need to be collaborative and able to take direction but is also creative and self-sufficient enough to work independently without much direction.

Most of the projects involve working with marketers at companies like Amazon, Google, Netflix, Bloomberg, FOX, etc.

The position will begin as a contract employee so that both parties can make sure the relationship is a good fit and will transition into a full-time position within a few weeks, when both parties feel comfortable.

Qualifications

• Design
• Motion Graphics
• Proficiency with After Effects and Cinema 4D
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with current digital and social media trends
• Ideal but not necessary: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Motion Design, Video Post Production, or relevant field
• Experience in the advertising or marketing industry is a plus
