Motion Designer

OVERVIEW

VICE News is looking for a motion graphics designer to join our team in Brooklyn. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of design and motion and have an interest in creating news-centric motion graphics.

Must be available to work in house at our Brooklyn office.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Storyboard graphics for review
• Design, animate, and edit standalone motion graphics packages
• Design and animate charts and maps that complement news packages

QUALIFICATIONS

• After Effects mastery and proficiency in other Adobe Creative applications
• Strong sense of motion and visual design and type
• Solid understanding of editing techniques
• Interest in news and current events
• Experience producing visual news content
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and assignments simultaneously under strict deadlines

PLUSES

• Experience at a news organization
• Cinema4D proficiency
