LEAD SENIOR ANIMATOR'S MISSION
The primary responsibility of the Lead Senior Animator is to lead the animation team to create excellent 2D and 3D animations, motion graphics, and visual effects for all videos and digital experiences Vossler produces.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for production of all 2D and 3D animation, motion graphics and visual effects for videos.
• Provide creative leadership and management of the animation team.
• Accurately estimate and manage resources for project budgets and schedules in coordination with Creative, Production and Post-Production leads to ensure that project goals are met.
• Collaborate with Creatives and Producers to review new projects and help with estimating effort and ideation.
• Work on multiple projects concurrently, meet demanding review schedules, and balance time constraints.
• Identify staffing needs and recommend freelance contractors to meet production needs.
• Lead concepting sessions before pitching internally and to clients, and create motion tests/studies as needed.
• Manage feedback and creative with clients throughout the duration of projects.
• Provide strategic leadership and innovation to deliver creative concepts within budgetary and time sensitive parameters.
• Explore and teach new trends, plug-ins and techniques, and manage the studio’s animation protocols (file naming conventions, compression settings, folder structure).
• Consult on hardware/software platforms to ensure highest efficiency and dependable outputs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Animation/Motion Design or equivalent experience.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ ‬
• Minimum of 15+ years progressive experience, with 5+ years in leadership role as an Senior Animator or similar.‬‬‬
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe After Effects and the Adobe suite.
• Expert knowledge of 3D with Cinema 4D, and general understanding of 3D workflow with common software platforms (Maya, 3D Studio Max, Moto).
• Expert compositor with experience in tracking, rotoscoping, and 3D integration.
• Working knowledge of VR design and 360 video.
• Highly developed knowledge of the software and hardware used in every aspect of the motion design & post-production process.
• A developed knowledge of the Visual Effects and associated pipelines.
• Proficient in MS Office 365, Windows & OSX operating systems. Able to effectively maintain written and computer records in accordance with company policies.
• Must be able to work at our studio in Kirkland, WA. (This position is not remote.)
